Claiming a party
In the rare case that the party leader decides to withdraw their entire deposit from the party, the party leader position becomes available for any member to claim.
- Any member within the party can claim the party leadership with a deposit of more or equal to 50 UST.
- Claiming party leadership is based on first come first serve. Meaning if the party leader position becomes available and you are the first to claim, then you are the new party leader.
- If you are an active party leader in another party, you are ineligible to claim a second party leadership.
- A party can continue even without a party leader. In the case that no one claims the party leadership position.
- Public party: Any party member can claim party leadership. If no one claims the party leadership and everyone withdraws then the party is disbanded.
- Private party: Any party member can claim party leadership. New requests to join are not accepted or rejected until there is a party leader. If no one claims the party leadership and everyone withdraws then the party is disbanded.
- If the party leader position is claimed by a member, then that member is subjected to the requirements of PL as outlined in Creating a party.
